Overview

Which triggers do we build with?

Rachel Precision builds with Bix’n Andy and TriggerTech triggers in Canton, Mississippi, and sells both in our shop. A good trigger lets you break the shot without disturbing the rifle, at a PRS barricade or a hunting stand. We’ll help you pick one and set it up.

Bix'n Andy

Why choose Bix'n Andy?

Bix’n Andy triggers are well regarded by competitive shooters, especially in the PRS and NRL, for light, very crisp pulls.

  • Ball bearing design. Bearings cut friction between sear and trigger, for a light, clean, reliable pull.
  • Adjustable. Pull weight tunes to the shooter’s preference.
  • TacSport PRO-X. Extra CNC polishing and finishing once reserved for Bix’n Andy’s Competition series, an encapsulated housing over stainless internals, and built-in overtravel. Single-stage or two-stage.
  • Safety. Top-right safety standard; left-hand models have a top-left safety.

TriggerTech

Why choose TriggerTech?

TriggerTech’s Frictionless Release Technology replaces the sliding sear contact of a conventional trigger with a roller. TriggerTech calls the result Zero Creep: no drag as you press, just a clean break.

  • Adjustable. The Diamond adjusts from under 4 oz to 32 oz.
  • Durable. It resists moisture, dust and debris, and the Diamond’s internals are hardened 440C stainless steel.
  • Consistent. With no coatings, polishing or lubricant on the engagement surfaces, TriggerTech says the pull stays consistent over thousands of rounds.

Trigger styles

Single-stage or two-stage?

Both the Bix’n Andy TacSport PRO-X and the TriggerTech Diamond come in both styles, so it comes down to the feel you want.

Fit

Will these triggers fit my rifle?

The Bix’n Andy and TriggerTech triggers we carry fit Remington 700 pattern actions, including the Impact Precision, Lone Peak Arms and Zermatt Arms RimX actions we build on. Have a different action? Call and we’ll check fit before you order.

“I've never gotten a barrel that didn't shoot lights out from Randy, and he still tries to learn and critique things with each one.”
Dakota Wright U.S. Precision Rifle Rimfire Team, 2025
“I have owned and shot many factory-built rimfire rifles. None of them compare to the rifle Rachel Precision built me with a Brux barrel.”

Bix’n Andy or TriggerTech: which should I choose?

Both make excellent Remington 700 pattern triggers, and we build with both. Bix’n Andy uses a ball bearing design for a light, crisp pull and is popular with PRS and NRL shooters. TriggerTech’s Zero Creep roller design gives a clean break with no creep, and the Diamond adjusts from under 4 oz to 32 oz. Tell us how you shoot, and we’ll help you choose.

Should I get a single-stage or two-stage trigger?

It comes down to feel. A single-stage breaks with no take-up. A two-stage has a light first stage, then a firm wall before the break, which some shooters prefer on positional and barricade stages. The TacSport PRO-X and the TriggerTech Diamond both come in single-stage and two-stage, so you can have the model you want in either style.

Will a Bix’n Andy or TriggerTech trigger fit my RimX?

Yes. The RimX has a true Remington 700 footprint and takes Remington 700 triggers, so the same Bix’n Andy or TriggerTech model can go in your centerfire rifle and your .22LR. That’s a big part of the RimX’s appeal: your .22LR can feel just like your match rifle.

How light can you set a trigger?

The TriggerTech Diamond adjusts from under 4 oz to 32 oz. How light you should go depends on how you’ll use the rifle. A benchrest rifle can run much lighter than a hunting rifle that gets carried in the field and handled with gloves. Call (601) 573-2753 and we’ll help you pick a pull weight.
