About
Rachel Precision LLC is Randy Rachel's custom rifle shop in Canton, Mississippi. Randy has been a machinist for more than 40 years, and we build elite centerfire and rimfire competition rifles for PRS, PRS Rimfire, NRL, NRL22 and other top series, and precision hunting rifles.
We also do the machine work that makes a rifle shoot: chambering, threading, action truing and glass bedding. We fit parts from makers like Brux, Krieger, Bartlein, Impact Precision, Zermatt Arms, Lone Peak Arms, Bix'n Andy, TriggerTech and MDT.
Jeff Guerry, 4th in Open at the 2026 IPRF World Championship and about 20 barrels in with Randy, put it this way: "Even the worst barrel was capable of winning any PRS match out there."

Precision that sets us apart
There are three reasons, and you can check every one of them.
Randy has been machining for more than 40 years. Chambering, threading, crowning, action truing and glass bedding all happen here. We cut chambers on turning centers with back-flush coolant and use our True Bore Alignment setup, so each chamber runs true to the bore.
Rachel Precision is ranked among the top 20 most popular rifle builders in PRS centerfire and rimfire. Dakota Wright took 2nd in Juniors at the 2025 IPRF Rimfire World Championship (U.S. Precision Rifle Association), and MDT Pro Shooter Matt Stiner split playing cards at 143 yards with a Rachel Precision RimX in MDT's 2025 .22LR video.
Dakota Wright says we "call and ask how things went after every match." Randy wants to know how every barrel shoots, and he keeps learning from each one he chambers. When you win with our barrel, we want to hear about it.

When my wife Kimberly first started shooting PRS .22, it wasn’t about competition, trophies, or having a custom rifle.
It started as a method of physical therapy.
She was brand new to the sport, learning everything from the ground up. At that point, the idea of putting a custom rifle in her hands was almost laughable. She was still figuring out how all of this worked, and we certainly weren’t thinking about custom builds.
Then we met Randy from Rachel Precision at a Gunline match.
I still don’t know exactly what Randy saw in Kimberly that day.
But he saw something.
He approached us and asked if he could build a rifle for her.
We thought it was a nice gesture, but honestly, we didn’t take it too seriously at first. Kimberly was just getting started. She had no track record, no long list of accomplishments, and no reason for anyone to believe she was going to become the shooter she is today.
But Randy kept bringing it up.
Every time we crossed paths, he made it clear that he wanted to build Kimberly a rifle.
It eventually became obvious that this wasn’t Randy trying to sell us a rifle.
He genuinely believed in her.
And that means more to us than I can put into words.
We finally gave him the opportunity, and what Rachel Precision built for Kimberly was far more than a custom rifle.
It became part of her journey.
A journey that started with physical therapy and somehow turned into a passion for PRS, competition, pushing herself, and proving—mostly to herself—what she was capable of doing.
The rifle is beautiful. The craftsmanship is incredible. The accuracy speaks for itself.
But those aren’t the things we will remember most.
We will remember that before Kimberly had the experience, before she had the confidence, and before she had anything to prove, Randy saw something in her.
He saw a shooter.
He believed in her before she had a chance to believe in herself.
That’s something you can’t put a price on.
Randy, thank you for taking a chance on Kimberly. Thank you for seeing something in her that others may have overlooked. And thank you for putting your name, your craftsmanship, and your confidence behind her.

You helped build a chapter in her story.
