Jeff Guerry: Team USA PRS Shooter, About 20 Rachel Precision Barrels In

Jeff Guerry shoots PRS in the Open Division, and by his own count he is about 20 Rachel Precision barrels in. He shot for Team USA at the 2026 IPRF Precision Rifle World Championship and finished 4th in Open. Here is his record.

4th in Open at the 2026 IPRF World Championship

In March 2026, Jeff was named to Team USA’s Open Division for the IPRF Precision Rifle World Championship (Precision Rifle Blog). The match was held in Texas in September 2026.

Jeff finished 4th in the Open Division and 6th overall, with 185 impacts out of 200 shots (March Scopes). That’s 92.5 percent of his shots on target at a world championship.

Seven PRS Pro Series wins in 2025

In June 2025, Midsouth Shot Report reported that Jeff had won five PRS Pro Series matches in a row. At the time, he was first in the Open Division Pro standings with a perfect 300 points.

By the end of the season he had won seven regular-season Pro Series matches. Precision Rifle Blog wrote that “that kind of dominant performance has never happened before.” Only a shooter’s top three scores count toward the season standings, so he finished 7th in Open.

The same article puts his totals at 148 PRS matches and 70 Pro-level starts over eight years in PRS. A shooter with that many matches goes through barrels, and that’s where we come in.

Chambered by Rachel Precision

Jeff’s sponsor XLR Industries lists his 6 Dasher match rifles as “chambered by Rachel Precision” on its 2023 team page. The same page lists his 2022 season: 2nd overall in the PRS Pro Series, 3rd at the Pro Series Finale, and wins at Frontline Fury, Road to Redemption and the MPA Fall Shootout.

What does Jeff say about Rachel Precision barrels?

In his September 2024 testimonial, Jeff said a great rifle builder is “pretty much paramount” to success in PRS, and that it took him a few years to find Randy. Here’s how he summed up the barrels:

I’m probably easily 20 barrels in with all the variants we have tried, and even the worst barrel was capable of winning any PRS match out there.

He also called Randy’s work “machine work that closely resembles art.” We’ll take that. The part we care about most is the consistency. Across all those variants, he says, even the worst barrel could have won.
