I’ve been shooting Rachel Precision Rifles for almost 2 years now and i’ve been shooting PRS matches for the past 3 years and I couldn’t ask for a better gunsmith. Whether that’s in products, customer service, or in hospitality. I’ve never gotten a barrel that didn’t shoot lights out from Randy and he still try’s to learn and critique things with each one. They are always looking to make better products and progress in the shooting community. They are incredible people and they work there hardest to put in as much effort into what they do and it’s amazing. They are also huge in the shooting community, they call and ask how things went after every match Randy is always looking for feedback and most importantly they love when you’re successful with their barrels. Having a great gunsmith is pretty much paramount to be successful in PRS. It took me a few years to find Randy but you will have to search for years to find someone with the perfect storm of great qualities Randy brings to the table. From machine work that closely resembles art, to the quality equipment he uses, add in his vast knowledge and how meticulousness he is with every detail and all done in a timely fashion. That is Rachel Precision. I've been fortunate to get to know Randy the last couple years and can truly call him a great friend that just so happens to be in my opinion one of the top gunsmiths there is. I'm probably easily 20 barrels in with all the variants we have tried and even the worst barrel was capable of winning any PRS match out there. So this review isn't just someone who happened to get 1 great barrel.
First and foremost Randy is a stand up gentleman. His attention to detail is second to none. He is a pleasure to work with. Every barrel I have received has been a hammer. The piece of mind that his quality of work brings is awesome. Do your self a favor and give him a shot.
I have been competing in NRL22 & PRS Rimfire for almost 4 years now. I have owned and shot many factory built Rimfire rifles. None of them compare to the rifle Rachel Precision built me with a Brux barrel. The attention to detail is amazing. The action is butter smooth and it chambers a round like a dream. I have not found a lot of Quality Match Rimfire ammo it does not like. It has made me push my limits as a shooter in every match I shoot. I now have a rifle that does not make me second guess my abilities as a shooter. Rachel Precision will build you a rifle that dreams are made of.
